What you’ll do

While Pycom has a rich portfolio of products to maintain and this job focuses on the delivery of new products. The main objective is to lead cross-functional product delivery activities, coordinating project tasks with development, sales and marketing teams to ensure a successful product program and launch. You will also need to get your hands into development and balance adoption of innovative ideas from the teams with knowledge of how to do things with excellence. This involves being a driving force in Pycom’s leadership team and managing the global development team, overseeing projects and making sure Pycom has adequate resources, project staffing and nurture of a first-class team to drive aggressive go-to-market goals. You’ll also be in charge of the management and execution of general portfolio deliveries and larger customer projects. You’ll need to be comfortable with regular reporting to Pycom’s CXOs and on occasion the company Board. Your duties will include

  • Helping Pycom bring new products and solutions to market by establishing stretch goals, milestone times and critical path schedules with developers and manufacturing partners ensuring timely delivery of each key deliverable.
  • Drive negotiations on product BOMs; reviewing production scheduled and development costs
  • Managing all the operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results and coach the teams for excellent performance

What we need from you

  • A degree in Engineering disciplines (electronics or electrical engineering)
  • At least 10 years’ experience in managing electronics projects with direct experience in embedded software development, including sound understanding of electronic hardware designs and IoT systems architectures and product design.
  • Solid team leadership experience. At least 5 years of successfully managing a team. This is not a role for someone with little to no team leadership experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Manufacturing Management experience, dealing with product manufacturing overseas (preferably Asia).
  • Good organisational and reporting skills.
  • Familiar with agile software development.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, Python or Java.
  • Ability to work in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. STRONG Preference to relocation to Eindhoven.

What you’ll do

Pycom has a portfolio of development boards that are maintained and continually developed further from a firmware and a network features point of view. The main objective of this role is to support all the vaious IoT networks available on Pycom’s development boards and OEM modules including supporting the embedded team, the manufacturing activities, test and certification activities as well as Pycom’s developer community and customers.
