IoT tech start up Pycom has today announced the appointment of George Fink as Chairman with effect 1st July 2021. George is an experienced director of public and private companies in the US, Europe and India. He has a strong operational and financial background with expertise in leading-edge technology companies.

George has successfully completed over 40 mergers and acquisitions. As president of COMSYS, he led the integration of 20 acquisitions, consolidated management teams and built an organisation-wide business model operating under one brand.

As President of Tele Atlas, a world leader in digital mapping, George was instrumental in helping realign the global organisation, re-focus the strategy and conduct a successful public offering – just 14 months after raising venture capital of USD250M. George helped to lead the sale of the company in 2008 to TomTom for USD3.7 billion.

“I have had the pleasure of working with George previously and seen first-hand his ability to scale-up and transform technology businesses. He is an excellent choice for the Chairmanship of Pycom and the founding team look forward to working with George on the next stage  of our exciting journey as we seek to continue transforming the way in which companies build and scale successful IoT projects.” said Pycom CEO, Fred de Haro.

“I am very impressed with the founders of Pycom, the business model they have built and the accomplishments they have achieved in such a short period. It is a privilege to work with them and their team and serve as their Chairman.”

George continues to expand his interest in serving as an Outside Director and Board Member. Most recently he served on the Boards of Royal Mosa, Muelink & Grol, LBI International and MIRUS Information Technology Services.

George succeeds David Stewart who has helped the company enormously during several years on Pycom’s Board and almost two years as Chairman but who agreed earlier in the year to step down from the Chairmanship.
